The Ubuntu team released version 10.04.1 on August 18th, the first maintenance release of Lucid. We have re-revved all of the lightweight images to include the updated kernel and security enhancements, as well as adding iptables to the base image. Please follow the links to download:

We have updated both 32-bit and 64-bit Debian 5 (Lenny) templates. The new versions now include xen kernels to allow them to boot under SolusVM's new pygrub feature (see our previous story). In informal testing the Debian kernel runs noticeably faster compared to the default Solus kernel so this might be a worthwhile upgrade....

This month SolusVM has implemented two new options for running non-default kernels. This is a big improvement over hacking the vm*.cfg or implementing custom hooks to override the default kernel. At Stacklet we have begun the process of testing the new options and describing their suitability to each SolusVM template we distribute here.
